Hilary JM Topper, MPA, has more than 20 years of public relations, advertising and marketing experience. In March 1992, Hilary founded HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, the Public Relations, Event Planning, Social Media & Graphic Design Agency.

Prior to HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, Hilary was the Director of Public Relations and Development at Professional Service Centers for the Handicapped, Inc. (P.S.C.H.). In 1989, Hilary Topper joined Ruder Finn Public Relations where she was the account executive for Kinder-Care Learning Centers, Inc., Jell-O and GLAD Wrap Bags. On the GLAD account, she managed a 15-market special events program and placed stories in local and national media. Her placements exceeded 9 million. She also represented clients on broadcast media and implemented a grass root fundraising campaign in local markets.

Prior to that, Hilary was the Director of Public Affairs at Altro Health and Rehabilitation Services. She was responsible for all the day-to-day public relations, marketing and fund raising activities. In 1985, Ms. Topper worked at Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Inc., Public Relations as an account executive. There, she handled the PRESTONE II antifreeze account, coordinating a national radio promotion. In addition, she managed The National Community Gardening Contest, sponsored by the American Community Gardening Association. She also trained spokespeople for media and placed them on national and regional television.

Prior to that, Hilary worked at Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations. There, she worked on Dove Beauty Bar, Quadro (a children's construction kit) and FMR magazine. Hilary wrote press releases, pitch letters and booked media tours in local markets. Before that, she worked at CLAIROL, Inc. publicizing hair care products and at Public I Publicity, promoting musicians and music books.

Hilary has received numerous awards and honors for her accomplishments within the industry from PRWeek Awards, Long Island Business News, Newsday, Girl Scouts of Nassau County, the Communicator Awards, International Association of Business Communicators, Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women, Diversity Business.com, and The Stevie Awards.

She is a published author and has given numerous speeches and seminars across the country. Hilary received her Bachelor of Science degree from Hunter College and her Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College.
