Conscious Capitalism: Business development ideas from Roger Hamilton

“We are seeing as massive sea change taking place around the world with the goals set in the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals, which are the promise of our generation,” says Hamilton.

So what role does business have with these goals? Many business experts now acknowledge that governments will struggle to solve all the world’s problems, says Hamilton.

“No government on the planet was elected to solve world problems,” he says. “They were elected to solve their national problems, the world problems have to come secondary. But what if the entrepreneurs on this planet were here to uphold these promises?”

It is this question which has given rise to Hamilton’s best business ideas about what business development really means.

Hamilton believes that the world’s top entrepreneurs need to take ownership of some of the millennium promises. Some like Bill Gate and Warren Buffet have already begun, says Hamilton on this business television show.

For its part, the United Nations now recognises this and has embraced the idea that business have a role to play in achieving global goals.

“People are recognising that entrepreneurs who are coming together can make that difference, make that big difference,” says Hamilton.
