To grow sales revenue over the long-term, say the business experts, your firm needs a sales plan. Few if any businesses today survive purely on one-off customers.
The problem with this sales advice, however, is that many busy entrepreneurs struggle to find time to develop a proper business sales strategy.
In this business television show, dozens of sales and business experts contribute sales advice on leverage long-term strategic sales benefit for your business.
The advice is aimed at businesspeople who are too busy to develop a full business sales strategy.
The first of the business sales tips on the show is to focus on building strong relationships with your customers.
Your existing customer base is critical to building your sales in the long term. If you keep your customers happy they will buy more, keep coming back, and refer new customers your way.
Keeping customers happy is not rocket science, say the business experts on the show. Talk to them, be interested. Don’t always be selling. Find out at about what’s going on in the customer’s life and business. When you build empathy and trust, you have a solid foundation for an ongoing relationship.
The next piece of sales advice is to leverage customer referrals. After all, since you’re going to all this trouble to look after your customers it makes a lot of sense to leverage your great reputation to win more business.
Be upfront - ask your best customers if they know anyone who might be interested in hearing about your product. Some of your most loyal customers might even be prepared to promote your business for you, perhaps by writing a testimonial.
The show continues with a series of additional strategic business sales tips, for example on the importance of networking.
